View Full Version : Roll Cage is in
Well Fellas December was a busy month, between the holidays, the wife's birthday and work things where crazy. I did get the car back before Christmas got the engine compartment painted and the roll cage primed. It was dark out but I shot a couple of pics yesterday, off to get my heads now. Got to take down the Christmas lights today, but I hope to take better pictures later.

Looking good JZ.
What is the box in front of steering wheel in photo 357?

The silver square I assume, thats the cowl. The windshield is out of the car so the chassis guys can finish welding the halo bar.

Looks good. If you've never had swing out side bars before, you'll really appreciate them.

Considering I'm a big boy, plus I want to keep the car streetable the swing-outs (both sides) where necessary. I added the door sill bars to make up for cutting the side bar.

82GT...have you big plans for your car? just wondering why the roll cage for a mid 13 second car...im assuming that since im new i missed an update of sorts?
Last time the car was at the track was 1997. Since then schooling, change of career, new house, unemployment, new new career, etc, etc. Now I should final have it back together in the next couple of months.
Currently the motor been upgraded and tweaked, completely new suspension, drive train and chassis upgrades. I'm hoping it will go low 12's on motor with the small block (plus I can always put the bottle on it) :rockwoot:
My eventual plan is for a mild 500+CI BBF that should easily take me to the low 10's high 9's. Since the car is apart now I figured I should set it up right the first time.
