Going to Island Dragway Sunday May 1st

I'm going to Island Sunday May 1st alone to do some test and tune
with the Dart.
Is anyone interested in going? I hate to ask but,
I could use a hand you know an extra set of eyes to help with how
she launches.
I'd like to get it buttoned up before the Mopar Nats.
Anyone going to be around?

I just looked at the weather station. It says rain and thunderstorms
Saturday and Sunday.

I don't think you need mufflers, every time I've run there I've run open exhaust.

To tell the truth, I don't really know. One time I went it took over 4 hours - lots of traffic. Another time was much less, around 3 hours, I think. That's from Mt. Sinai in the middle of Long Island. Coming home was about the same, I think.

If the weather looks better at Island than it does at Lebanon Valley I will go there. Atco is too far for me. The way the weather forecast is, I won't be racing anywhere this weekend... :(

prettying up the landscaping on Sat for the Mother-in-laws visit.

Dan, I tried getting intouch with the track. No answer.
Weather said rain till 10am.

Tony, I didn't get there until noon and I seemed as if they were just starting. I assume they had to dry the track a little. It was a little slick near the finish but not too bad. Weather got better as the day wore on. The NETO guys were there...some pretty wild lookin' rides. There was a 40 Willys that I fell in love with. I'm gonna do the upgrades on my engine next week. Sorry you missed it today.

It was still raining a little bit when I got up & decided not to go thinking it would be a lousy day & didn't want to drive out only to get sent home. I am going to try & go out ther next weekend if all goes well.
