Getting NHRA license to run under 10 seconds!

I got my physical, and paperwork all done this spring, before I ran my car. I wasn't sure if it would run in the 9 seconds, but I had everything ready , just in case. The best so far is a 10.167et. Last week my buddy that I race with, and have known all my life, said that if I wanted to get my NHRA license, I could use his car. Put a smile on my face. 8) His car is a 32 Ford Roadster, big block cheevy, runs 8.20 to 8.30 at 158 to 160mph. So, I think I am going to get my NHRA license this weekend!! :D Saturday is a test & tune day. I am going to beef up my motor over the winter. I need about 150 more horsepower to get me into 9.50 to 9.60 et for next year!!

I need about 150 more horsepower. It is up to my engine builder, what ever he recomends and wants to do!! Right now it has a hydraulic cam. Going to change to a solid or roller cam, some head work, not sure what else??
