pics of progress

It's to hot to work on the car today so I figured I'd upload some pics

rear suspension

motor

finally figured out my alt bracket

cage

I'm going to hit it with some wet sanding and another coat, trying to make it look like it wasn't painted with rattle cans

Tomorrow the front suspension goes in

Ah, that brings back a lot of memories. It wasn't too too long ago that my car was still in pieces. Looks like you're at the stage that I enjoyed the most; seeing the "plan" come together.

What kind of work did you do to the motor and what do you think it's gonna run?

Looks good. That's near the stage of my Chevelle. Some day I might even finish it. Good Luck!

The small block is pretty mild, I have TRW forged pistons .030 over in there with hydraulic Comp Cams H280 (.512"/.512" Dur 280°/280° LSA 110°) with matching hardware. The heads are a set of home ported 92 E7TE heads milled .030. to net me 9.5:1 compression

I'm setting the car up for a 521cid BBF that is on the back burner, then once all the bugs are worked out of the car and the body work and paint get done I’ll start working on that.

I'm hoping with all the upgrades that I'll be well into the 12's with it. Then once I'm close to completion on the big motor I can bolt on the blue bottle and see what it will run

Sounds like a plan, JZ. You plan on coming down to Island Dragway anytime?

Well unfortunately there hasn't been that much progress. The front suspension really kicked my **** for a while. Now I'm in a holding pattern until after the New Year. I have a small electric heater in the garage and plan to get back on track during the cold months so I can hit the track in the spring.

Welcome to the site BETCHA618, I'm right around the corner in Medford.

Well after fighting with the springs for 2 months, then taking a break from working on the car (taking care of house, work, and life crap) I finally got the springs in this weekend.

Joe from Mustang Magic sent me to Hicksville spring (right in the fork where the LIRR tracks split) they bound the springs and I got them in no problem.

Funny thing is I even did the first one side in my slippers on Friday night, I was unloading grocery's and kept walking by the car and I couldn't wait until Saturday so I said lets trial fit it and it went right in.

Now on to the braking system, electrical then I get to throw the motor and tranny in and fire that mother up.

New pics will follow soon

Looking forward to spring!!
