I found a '68 Super Bee that a guy at work was selling... $800! Had a 440, 727, Dana 60. The wife (girlfriend at the time) made me get rid of it:

The wife / Girlfriend would have been gone before that car ;)

I've already had that conversation with my present wife.


First wife thought she came before the cars .... thats why she was the first wife :mrgreen:

That was a big blowout, actually... She didn't want me to race the car, thought it was too dangerous. We spent a lot of time after that at the track, she eventually figured out it wasn't as dangerous as she thought. Of course, the car was gone by that time. :-(

When I found the Duster (my current race car) I told her I was buying it, she didn't argue.

Nice cars. Too bad the Bee had to go :(
