I see you've been to the Top Gun site. I guess we'll see Monday if they have anything to say.

I got a house on Long Island and a car so I'm always hopeful.

Yeah, I just saw that, I didn't get a notification that they had replied to my thread.

I sent him an e-mail, hopefully they'll give up some information right away so I can find out what's going on.

They've got categories for drag racing, oval track racing, ATV racing... Maybe the rumors about a large motorsports complex in Yaphank are true!

It looks like that site just crashed, though... They must not have a reliable web host like we have here. Maybe I'll send them a quote. :roll:

I was talking to some guy at Island a couple of weeks ago that is also from Long Island. He said the site is the old Quarter Horse Racetrack in Yaphank. In the mid 70's I had a horse that ran at that track. He turned out to be a loser, as did the track. It would be the perfect place for the motorplex.

The place you're talking about was Parr Meadows, and then it became Suffolk Meadows. It's right on William Floyd Parkway.

There's a large condo/townhouse community there (across the street).
