Seat belt mounting
 

Since I will be mounting the belts in the car soon I want to make sure I do it right the first time. My only question is with the shoulder belts mounting to the cross bar. I can ether wrap them around the bar or use a mount tab and bolt them in. If I go with the wrap around I'm suppose to use a limiter or collar to keep the belt from sliding around

Does anyone have a picture of a limiter or collars if I go with the wrap around style?

and/or

Does anyone have pictures of an acceptable tab mount to the cross bar?

JZ, just use the wrap around method to the cross bar behind your seat. You will have to weld tabs to bolt your over the lap belts and your 1st photo is correct. They don't want any lateral forces applied to the tabs.

I believe that if you use the wrap around your suppose to limit the side to side travel of the belt. I'll have to check my NHRA rule book and see what they say.

I also plan on doing some class racing in the NMRA and I know they require it

This is the better method & there is no need of a poor weld breaking if god forbid you need them.
