EDIT: Wow! I never saw this. When I saw it today I assumed you posted this past Tuesday. I check 4 days a week...
I am off on Wednesdays. I didn't see this until today.
I picked up a complete 400 to slap in the K. (It came with a 727) I already gave it a quick cleaning. The timing chain gear isn't nylon, so I am just gonna leave it alone. I put a truck oil pan on it. (2 or 3 Saturdays ago when it was 60 degrees out!) I will probably put my Performer 383 and Carter 625 on it. I am going to use the 400 converter that I got with it. I have a 727 in there already. I will use the stock electronic distributor with an MSD. (That is what I use on the Dart 383 too) The passenger's side header is done. I started the driver's side but that GTS hood is in the way. (anybody need a 69 Dart GTS/Swinger hood or 8 3/4 centers?) I really need to get this movable so I can get the Dart in the garage. I need to completely re-do the Dart fuel system and exhaust system for the 431. I still need to put the 431 in.

I want to make it as my race car, but have it street legal. When the K is done I want to re-do the Dart.

When I pulled the convertor out of the 727 that came with 400, I saw the shaft and realized it was a lock-up trans. I had to order the B&M flexplate for the external balance 400. I put a Super holeshot convertor I had laying around in for now. The 400 is in and bolted in to the 727, through the midplate that came with the car. I had to do a little fine tuning on some of the holes. Mini-starter is bolted in.
It was too cold last weekend to work on it...

And now there's more snow to contend with.
