I posted this question before, but no one answered it, and there is actually people here now, so my chances seem better.

How easy is it to paint your own car? What are the basic steps you need to take to accomplish this. I would really like to know how to do it. I really like the flat black paint jobs, but i dont want it to look like complete crap. I heard of some people doing this with regular spray paint (rattle can). Could you really get a decent paint job doing this? Ive got an air compressor i just need a paint attachment for it. Where would you buy the paint? This would be a great skill to have. Sorry if this question is a little off topic from racing.
