Mopars at the Valley

Since there seems to be quite a few Mopar guys here I was wondering if anyone is going to the Mopar meet at Lebanon Valley on Oct. 2. I plan to attend I may only watch unless my car is done, I hope it is. If so it may be like a test & tune day.

I may go. What are the formats for Sat and Sunday ? I've never raced up there before, except in a demolition derby a few years ago. What are the particulars; classes, fees, time trials, and what time does the track close the gates ?

Man I wish I could go. All I have to do is put the carb back together.
I bought a set of 78 jets to go in it.
It's not worth getting the wife pissed off though. She planned my sons party for that day. It seems like a lot of poeple are going to show, according to this and other sites.

I am in the same boat as you there Mopower, my car ain't done yet & it is taking alot longer than I had anticipated. But I will be going up with a buddies car & a few other cars on Sat. to hang out for the day.

It should be a good day at the track if the weather holds out as long as they say it should. Being a Mopar guy it is always nice to watch a Mopar only race.

Won 2 rounds Saturday before the rain ended everything.
I had a -.001 light in the fourth round Sunday, against a .499
We didn't take any pictures. Sometime this week I will get the video on the computer...

Walter, man, where were you hiding on Sunday ? I rode all around the pits (we had plenty of down time) looking for your car but never did find you. Your Dart is light blue, right ?

It took me 3 hours to get there from Vernon, N.J., but I really didn't mind the ride 'cause it was magnificent weather. The weather was soooo good in fact that I ran a best ET of 12.13 in the 1st and only time shot of the day. There was a big time wreck on Sunday, a Pro Modified. It looked to me like he got pretty squirrly, got out of it, then back into it and the car turned a hard left head-on into the wall on the opposite side of the track. There were car parts flying high all over the track. Luckily, there was no fire and the driver, Jarrod Hartman, wasn't seriously hurt. There wasn't much left of his car.

So after my only time shot I dialed in a 12.13 for the 1st round and guess what happened ? I broke out with a 12.028 ! I didn't change a single thing between runs, so go figure. Atleast I walked away with a new best ET, and my car intact.

I parked the trailer in the field on the other side of the fuel depot. I was in the trailer changing motor plate gaskets all morning. I had to run with Test and Tune to get my 1 time trial, 11.921@111.50, at 1:22pm... They called DOT to the lanes while I was on the return road. My wife had to run to the trailer to tell me. Then 2 hours later I won the 1st round, 11.907@109.65 on the brakes, and went back to the trailer. After winning the 2nd round I parked behind the staging lanes.

Stolen and cropped picture:

I went on Sat & left when the rain started, I forgot to take the camera like a meathead. We left at 0:dark thirty so that is my excuse & I am sticking to it , LOL

The racing seemed to be pretty good, not to many super pro cars I would guess around 20 or so, alot of heavy & street dot cars.

I think I had seen BBLM23's car when we were leaving & had to turn around in the field, if that was you it looked like you had the whole field to your self .

The biggest complaint from everyone had to be the bathrooms, it was pretty bad & can't even explain it.

Hey sick, the car that crashed was i that vette ????

Yeah, it was the Vette. The Lebanon Valley website already posted some pics of the crash and the aftermath....well worth a look-see.
I'll bet that poor bastard had a ton of money in that car.
