Numidia Raceway is finally opening this year. The place was sold, New owners opening up tonight . FRIDAY July 9th, 2004 Gates open 4:00p.m. for Stree Racing. SATURDAY July 10th, 2004 Gates open 10:00a.m. for TEST&TUNE . SUNDAY July 11th, 2004 Gates 9:00a.m. open for Bracket Racing. I just got off the phone with Betty!!!

 

I will be at the gate 1/2 hour before they open on sunday!! I will post some info on monday or sunday after I get back from the track. It isn't worth going to the track on saturday for test&tune, I don't think I would get any traction??

 

The track has been closed since last october. My buddy who runs a Bantam Roadster in the low 8's, said it is a waist of time going for the first test & tune, They don,'t prep the track enough. At least the old owners didn't prep the track enough!! Maybe the new owners will??

Traction was excellent - opening day and last weekend for test and tune. I had my 2 best 60 - foot times with the car!! My prevous best 60 foot was 1.360 at Maple Grove in April 2004. Last weekend on saturday test&tune I had a 60 foot time of 1.349 , and this saturday a 60 foot time of 1.350. The car was running 10.265 et to a 10.325et over the last 2 weekends.. The new owners seem very nice and concerned about track conditions!!

I didn't change anything with the car in the last 3 weeks, I did put a new Cope Racing Transmission and PTC converter in 3 weeks ago. So that is what probabley is helping. They do have the track prepped pretty good!! The track doesn't have a schedule printed out yet. Suppose to be Friday night - Street racing, Saturday- Test&Tune 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m., and Sunday - Bracket Racing Time trials start at 10:00a.m.
