Adam's ride is up there, too...

I just like the way it looks. I'm impressed by crap like that, cuz I can't do it.
I don't see it. I see yours & 1bad & a bunch of cars I don't know or belong to the forum that I know of.

Thats not what I see. Next to the Mirada Is what looks like an
old Opel Cadet and then a big shot of a right hand drive camaro.
You can't please everyone I guess.
At least I get to use some of the new smileys in the correct context.

We didn't use all cars that are from this site. I'm sorry. It has nothing to do with who's been here longer. The Mirada was included because I chose many of the pictures and of course I'd include my boyfriends... but there are also several other members cars in the header. Four of the pics are copyrighted by me, the Mirada, the Yankee Peddler, the Vette (unfortunately) and the Magnum racing a Hemi Challenger. That's why those made it, because I had them onhand they are pics from the Nationals last year.

Anyway, the first version of the header had many NON bracket racing pictures in it, which Patrick and I then stopped and tossed in some new pictures that made sense and a few other members rides because those were the pics we found fastest on the site. It has NOTHING to do with who's been here longer and whatnot.

Everybody needs to chill a little... the new banner is a good thing for us, no need to get upset over a slight improvement to the site.

the car of the far left (small pic) is a pro stock C4 corvette..then my car, then the Yankee Peddler. I dont know if anyone here is old enough to remember bill flynn, or the yankee peddler, but it was an AFX NHRA car in the 60s...then mikelbecks car, then a max wedge class nationals car, then a silvr corvette which ran high 10s on DOTs...then adams cuda, and the last pic is from the nationals last year...it wa entitled the "Stock hemi shootout"...it was a 4 speed, completely stock hemi challenger, agaisnt an all stock hemi magnum RT...on this particular run, the magnum won with a slower time...

Didn't he live in Ct. And raced that car at the now gone Dover Dragway.
Somewhere on my puter I have a pick of Dick Landy at Dover.
That's cute. The censor won't let me put Mr. Landy's first name.

here is what i know about that bill flynn car. that is a real yankee peddler. wagners auto body, where my dad works, did a complete restoration of it, at quite a cost. they did an amazing job. the motor was built by bob george racing enterprises. there was long involved story with how the car was found, and in not very good shape. i believe that some antique car was traded for it, plus some cash, and about a year later, it fired. with curt george running it, babying it through the traps, it ran very low 10s...

new best of 12.60? very nice..

Big spot in my heart for those cars, and all the unique ones that ran in that era. Wish I could have been a part of it.

Thanks for the "very nice" on the new best. It's not good, just a new best. .
I figure the car should run in the mid 11's without a problem.
But that's all I end up with, Problems.

Lots of stuff I've had to redo on the car. From wiring gremlins, carb, tranny....
engine is
340
13-1 comp
530 solid cam
ported x heads
was a 4spd till I blew the rear u-joint apart going into 3rd gear, then went to a stock auto and 3500 converter.
Switched to a 4500 converter now the tranny needs to be new, due to no reverse.... on and on
