Who is ready for RACING this weekend??

I am all ready for the last 2 weekends. To cold and windy the last 2 weekends!! I was all ready to go to Cecil County in Maryland, the last 2 weeks, but 40* to 42*, with 15 to 20 mph winds, was just to cold!! If the weather stays nice, I will be going to a test & tune on sunday at Numidia Dragway in Pa. Next weekend is a test & tune on saturday, and 1st race on sunday!! I would like to test the car, with the new motor, before racing

I made it out on sunday. Only made 2 passes. Car worked real good in 1st and 2nd gear. Crossing the 60 foot mark on the back wheels. Had to much air under front wheels, (About 4 feet under front tires). No pictures. Rosie got it on video, but I can't transfer it to my computer, it is on tape. Trans didn't feel right, as soon as it shifted into drive. So I lifted right away. Did the same thing on second pass. So I loaded up and came home. Started pulling the trans valve body out after talking to John at Copes Racing Transmissions. Found a pinched wire from the transbrake solenoid, holding up the valve body, bypassing some fluid. I will reinstall valve body this afternoon and test run it on the jack stands. Everything should be OK!! I will have to lower the wheelie bars a bit. Try again this saturday. Test & tune saturday, first race this sunday!!

Hi Paul and gang!

I cruise through here now and again and figured i'd stop in and join this time. A quick note about the T&T on Saturday the 7th @ Numidia. Bob said if the air temp is not over 50° he will not have the T&T. The chassis cert will go on as planned. I am surprised it's not on the website. It is on the track's answering machine. Good thing I called down to get some alcohol (drum is not here yet).

I see you have a new enegine this year. Me too. I got tired of you guys chasing me! It's a 454 +.030, 14 to 1, Crane roller, Brodix heads, Ron's Terminator injected on alcohol. Sould be a handful... I just got finished with everything a couple of days ago. Talk about right down to the wire! Looks like we are getting a pass for the first week. That's OK, I have stuff to do in the trailer. I'll try to insert a pic for you guys.

See you soon Paul and I hope to meet some of you guys along the way!

I aggravated the Ulnar nerve, either repetitive motion or direct contact. It is like hitting your funny bone 24/7, since November. Tried therapy, drugs and acupuncture. The nerve gets inflamed and the tunnel in the elbow is too small so it gets trapped and more aggravated. Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. The surgery, Ulnar Nerve Transposition, pulls the nerve out of the groove in the bone. Two weeks of doing nothing, 4-6 weeks rehab. I won't be climbing over the monkey bars into the new K for a while. Luckily? I will have the two weeks of doing nothing done before the season starts...
