The Turtle Blues

Went to Island Saturday it was hot (84 +) and a little humid. Got to meet Dan,(sickt7cuda) a down to earth really, REALLY nice guy. Dan it was a pleasure. By the way his Cuda looks even nicer in person.
My car still is not living up to its potential, but I did reach a new personal best. I have a new best 60' - 1.957 a new best 1/8th - 8.624 @ 83.32 and new best 1/4 - 13.445 @ 102.24. Got knocked out in 1st run eliminations. I red lighted and had to get out of it between 1/8th and 1000' because of a TURTLE. A big moma snapper I think. It was around 12-14" long and looked to be around 5-6" high and right in my lower header zone. So what did I do you ask. I smashed it to smitherines . NO I got out of it slowed down and went around it. Since I red lighted I just let them know about it and they cleared it from the track. I had a great time racing and talking with Dan. Car ran strong, I did'n't break anything and I hit a new personal best. Gonna install the MSD innition in next couple of weeks and take it from there.

Congratulations on the new best time! =D>

Anytime you don’t break anything that’s a good day at the track. Hmmm when I get my little GT back together I might have something for that Dart. :P

Tony, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad I got to meet you and see your car. It was fun. We'll have to do it again. I was impressed with all the work you've done to your car, and I was really taken with just how clean you keep your Dart (his engine bay looked as clean as an operating room )

BTW, how fast was that Turtle movin'? Ya know, when ya think about it, that Turtle probably was there to match race that turddy Mazda we saw there.

Dan, I think you could be right about the turtle and the Mazda
Looking forward to meeting up with you again.
