New NEBR Logos

I was talking with one of my neighbors the other day - she's an artist and said she could make me some up new logos for this (and a few other) sites. I'll post them all here and you all can let me know what you think.

Here's the first one... I think it's a little too artsy-fartsy for this site.

Here's the second try... I told her she's got to ditch the figure 8 and the checkered flags. We don't use those in drag racing, do we?

Mike, here's my thoughts. To me, the heart of bracket racing centers around Man+Machine vs Man+Machine @ the Light. Try giving your artist friend that thought to work with and let's see what she can come up with.

Looks pretty good.

I'd change the color of the written words though.

The angle going away from the tree looks wrong. I like the general look though. How about looking at 2 cars that are just leaving the tree?

Plus, if you look closely, you'll notice that all the lettering on the car is reversed - she flipped the picture.

She's coming by today, we're going to go through all the photographs I have (which is many!) to find a good shot of a couple of cars at the starting line. I think I've got a few shots of my neighbor's Camaro in a wheels-up launch. That'll be kinda cool.

I really like the original one, Put 2 cars on that with the tree in the middle.
The letters on the original one really stand out.

I like the latest best of all so far. The lettering looks fuzzy until
you enlarge it then it looks real good.
