clear site plugs
Anyone have a set of these on there Holley ?
Just a heads up. I went to lower my float level alittle today and couldnt see threw one of mine. It was very cloudy. I pulled it out and the threaded end was very soft and gummy.
I played with the needle and seat, put the plug back in and when I fired the car up fuel came shooting out of the vent tube. So I adjusted more, no differance.
I decided to pull the float bowl and found the threads came off the plug. Cleaned out the bowl, replaced the plug and no more problems.
If you run a set take a look at them. They dont seem to stand up to fuel very well.

I had them a few years back when I had a 650 DP. They were cloudy, so I replaced them. The new ones got cloudy pretty quick, too. What's the use of cloudy sight plugs? I had to pull them out anyway to check the fuel level.
The Demon carbs have a really nice sight window on them.
