T & T E-Town Sunday 11/7/04

One sign of Mental Illness is approaching the
same problem the same way expecting diferent results.

That said, I'm going to E-Town Sunday, weather permitting, with
the guy I had build my car. I'm going to approach it diferently though. Tonight I'm gonna pull the rear wheels on the car dismount
the tires Drill the wheels and screw down my tires. I don't really want to pay $100.00 for a test and tune but it is driving me f'n
crazy that I can't get this car into the twelves. We will see [-o< what happens.

BF Goodrich Drag Radials 235 60 15. Very sticky. I dropped them to be
dismounted, rims drilled and screwed the tires to wheels. Guy said the Cal Tracs have too much pre-load. The tread section is bieng pulled up.
Hopefully it will be taken care of Sunday. Part of the build was for him to come to the track to finish setting up the car as well as a suspension lesson. I got it back in May of this year after 1 1/2 years. November 7th and he is finally going with me. What a D*ck !!!!!

I seen them, both look nice. Whats in the Road Runner ?
By the way my beautiful Weld wheels now look like sh-t.
This car better hook. Either way I guess when I get slicks they
will definately go on these wheels. I'll buy new ones for my
street tires. Eventually.

Road runner is a 383 4spd car. Car was loads of fun to drive, to bad it's been parked since around 89' or 90'.
It's my Round Tuit car.
It needs some TLC, as in drivers floor, trunk floor, new quaters would do it a world of good. It needs a little work where the hood hinges mount. New interior etc... the list goes on. But, I just can't bring myself to sell it. I've had it since 83' and when my wife kept telling me I should get rid of it, my response was I would get rid of her first. She's now an ex and I still have my Runner. Been thru to much with it.

It's a shame the Charger had some serious rot on thee front frame rails. Found that after trying to stop at over 90mph and it got a real bad shimmy in the front. Pulled the rubber mat off the inner fender and stuck my finger thru the frame

You were lucky the Charger held together.
Well the Demon looks great. What are your plans for the
Swinger and Road Runner.?

Ok here we go. Sunday 11-7-04 at Island Dragway.
I blew away a new GTO then two Mustangs.
First run 13.634 @101
Then we re-jetted carb to 78 front and 80 rear &
re-set timming to 37*.
Second run we got a new best 60' 1.93 & 1/4 13.422 @ 103.54
Third run We got another new best 60' 1.911 and 1/4
13.212 @ 104.19.
First time I got the tires to smoke. Wheels are screwed into tires
Stuck real good w/15lbs of air.
Car ran good and strong. But it needs more gear.
Winter projects are now Shifter, Cope rev valve body, a set of
4:30 something gears(up from 3:91's). All and All a good day.
Poss could of gone into 12's but last run it again didn't shift when I told it to and bumped of the limiter. then I sat in line for
45 min for 4th run when they shut down the lanes two cars
infront of me.
