yet another dumb question :D

O.k...heres the story. I have 3 engines.... I have the 360 magnum, Bad pistion, Bad Head, no intake. I have a 318, Bad pistion. I have a 360 in the car. bad bearings. The object is to make one good engine. the 318 has a good crane cam in it. I don't have allot of money. so here it is.

Can I take the magnum block, put the 318 crane cam into it. put the 360's heads on it. reuse the push rods and rockers from the 360. and replace the one bad piston?

all motors are complete. The magnum block is rock solid. It's just that with the lack of the mechanical fuel pump lobs on the magnums cam that make me want to put the 318's cam in it. are these interchangeable? I understand I need the 318's timing chain cover for the magnum. Also there is a double chain timeing gear on the 318

help! :P

The 318 is actually the original 69 motor that was in my car. So I would say she's not

<waits for people to yell to me to put the original motor back in >

Is the Charger all original except for the wheels?
If so put the original 318 back in it.

You can run the cam from the 318 in the Magnum but it requires you to drill a hole for valve train oiling. Im not sure what hole or were though LOL.

I would run the roller cam from the 360 and just run an electric fuel pump.

heheh I knew someone would say it All the metal is not original. just the normal stuff that rots has been replaced. The more and more I pain over this. I may go that route. Just read the artical on forabodies.com about 330 horses out of a 318... not a screamer... but that could be fun

Still want to explore my options with this 360. I can get some more power for less money with this thing... I just gotta thing right.

His car runs pretty good for a real mild 350. He ran some 12.80s with it last year and pulled 1.80 60fts on a 235-60 radial.
