o.k..no more dumb questions ;)

I decided last night I don't want to jury rig anything. So I said screw it. I’m going to just replace the bearings in the 360 that’s in the charger now. Most likely transfer over the Crane Cam from the 318, get a set of pistons and springs in her, and call it a day. I'll build up or sell the magnum; I don't want to monkey around with it

So I get this in my mind and start to tear the motor down last night... and to my surprise, I notice... almost every bolt was loose I actually unscrewed the harmonic balancer bolt with my hand! Thats not good

so we'll see how deap I get before I get agrivated and log on to vent here But I think i'm finding come of the resons for a few other noises, damn loose bolts

That sounds like a good plan. When you get the cam out post the grind number for it so we can figure out what you have.

For pistons I'd look at the Keith Black 107s There a flat top that can be set at or close to zero deck and they are a good price. Just make sure the machine shop set up the ring clearance right.

my god! I hope we're talking about Cams again

well. back to the Charger. I said F it and just pulled the damn motor today. The thought of oil in my eye and crud in my hair.

Welp. tore the ol girl apart, and she needs a good cleaning anyways. and yes, the mains are shot. it looks like the crank will need to be turned as well.

ohh well, at lease this time she'll be done right
