Besides, after yesterday I'm pretty pissed at my car. I'm punishing it by making it sit on the side of the house, still on the trailer.

... do you think I should have hit the brake and not broken out?

I can't tell. If he was somewhere behind you , Yes you should have braked. If you were trying to catch him it was too late, ya should of braked Incase he broke out. Did you just get caught up in the moment? Why are you dialing in at 12.92 anyway? I thought you were faster than that, or is this the results of the new slicks?

I had a .092 light, he had a .49-something. He dialed a 12.50, I dialed a 12.92 (car was slow, it was almost 90, 2800 feet). My buddy who was watching said I had him at half track, beat him to the line by 5 or 6 car lengths.
My motor did some funky stuff at the top of 2nd and 3rd gears, I was yelling at it going down the track and didn't look to see where he was. I usually don't look, since I'm usually slower and am being chased. I have a hard time judging when the car chasing me will catch me.
I beat him to the line by almost 1/2 a second, and ran a 12.88 on a 12.92 dial.
